We will be a good fit if you are looking to build a real connection and do deep work together. I love learning new things in my field, and take numerous trainings per year, so I draw from a wide variety of models and approaches to therapy. Nonetheless, I am heart and soul a psychodynamic/depth and attachment/emotionally focused/relational therapist. You can learn more about what this means on my About Me page.
Here is a list of things people typically seek my support for:
Complex trauma (CPTSD.)
Attachment concerns/ family of origin wounds & experiences.
Minority stress: cumulative stress/trauma from generational and systemic oppression, genocide and colonialism, marginalization, and ongoing exposure to micro and macro aggressions.
High sensitivity: Highly Sensitive People/HSPs/empaths.
Transformation for people pleasers and appeasers, and people with low self esteem.
Recovery from gaslighting and chronic self doubt.
Recovery from perfectionism.
Couples counseling including sex therapy, recovering from infidelity, ENM, and unpacking hetero, mono, romantic, and all the normativity.
Neurodiversity-ADHD and autism. Assessments are available for ongoing clients and for stand alone evaluations for those with an established therapist. I have also completed training in ND Compass, a model for couples therapy that is specific to neurodiverse people.
Disability justice. I have a lived experience with navigating invisible disabilities, including neurodivergence, autoimmune disorders, and chronic pain.
Sexual trauma. I have professional training in and lived experience as a survivor of Intimate Partner Sexual Violence, a lesser known yet extremely common form of domestic abuse/intimate partner violence. I have lived experience navigating the criminal justice system for sexual assault related crimes and have professional experience emotionally supporting clients through this process.
Depression, anxiety, panic.
Men working on vulnerability, getting in touch with emotions, understanding patterns in their relationships, and examining their privilege.
Grief and loss.
Healing from diet culture and body shame. I am knowledgeable about fat liberation, HAES, intuitive eating, and Body Trust. I am not a certified Body Trust provider.
Untangling from the imprint of white supremacy culture, including internalized perfectionism, ego, fragility, individualism, defensiveness, conflict avoidance, objectivity, implicit bias, etc.
